Visitors were arriving in steady numbers to McDonald Park along the St. Clair Parkway on Saturday and Sunday to see the Selkirk History Faire, an excellent example of what can be accomplished when a group of community-minded volunteers decides to create an event. Re-enactors came from across Southern Ontario to take part in the special weekend – there were native Americans, voyageurs, fur traders and most other examples of the early 19th Century life that is being recreated. cktimes' photographer John Gardiner dropped by the site and snapped these photos. Next weekend, the action moves to Fairfield Museum for a War of 1812 re-enactment.
