Originally posted on: Tuesday, August 31, 2010The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit, in partnership with the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation, is proud to present the Canadian pilot project of the Infant CPR Anytime Personal Learning Kit. This free program is open to the public who have involvement with an infant less than 12 months of age.
In the one-hour session, participants will learn the basics of infant CPR, including how to eliminate choking hazards. At the end of the session, participants will complete an evaluation of the program, and will be given their kit (which includes the training doll) that they used in the session to take home and share the information with others.
A session will be held during Learn Share Grow, a free, interactive health experience presented by the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit and Best Start on Saturday, September 25 at Kinsmen Auditorium, 80 Tweedsmuir Avenue in Chatham. There will be two sessions that day, session A 9:30 am - 10:30 am, and session B 11:15 am – 12:15 pm. Pre-registration is required. Please call the Public Health Unit at 519-352-7270, ext. 2903 to register.
