Daily March 21 to September 20: The Ridge House Museum is open daily from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Appease your senses with a personally guided tour of this beautifully restored 1875 home. Large groups are welcome with advanced booking. General admission is by donation. 2nd Wednesday of every month
The CK Dramatists Society will meet at the Chatham Cultural Centre beginning on February 10th and will be modified by musical theatre writer Jenne Watson Pickard. The CK Dramatists Society is a forum for dramatic writers to come together, share their work, and receive feedback from their peers. 4th Wednesday of every month, 8:00 p.m.
The KENT COUNTY STAMP CLUB meets in the library at John McGregor Secondary School, 300 Cecile Ave., Chatham every month except July, August and December.

Third Wednesday of the month, 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday afternoons or Friday mornings
Join the Wii Bowling League at the Wallaceburg Seniors’ Community Centre. No stairs to climb. This can be done sitting in a chair if you are unable to stand. A FUN SOCIAL 2 HOURS. All gaming equipment will be provided. No prior experience with the Wii console is necessary. The league ­ using the Wii electronic game console ­will be composed of two-person teams. Teams do not have to attend every week, but will need to attend enough days to complete the league schedule. Teams will vie for the “Golden Shoes” Trophy . Less impressive prizes will be handed out to the teams managing the best average score, the best single game score and whatever other milestones or achievements we deem worthy, Sign up dead line by: Oct. 2nd. The Kiwanis Club of Ridgetown meets weekly in the basement of the Mount Zion Presbyterian Church, 59 Main St. E., Ridgetown. Summer meetings are hosted by members at various local addresses.

Every Second and Fourth Friday of each month, 7:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
TEENS ROCK for teenagers in grades 7 - 10 meets at the Gym at Charlemont Free Methodist Church, 30127 Brigden Road, R.R.#5, Wallaceburg for basketball, volleyball, soccer, table games, outdoor games, campfires, cookouts, camping trips, community service projects and more. Fourth Wednesday of every Month
Located in the Region of Chatham-Kent, Tulip Tree Needlearts is a chapter of the
Embroiderersí Association of Canada www.eac.ca. The aim of the organization is to preserve traditional techniques and promote new challenges in the Art of Embroidery through education and networking. Meetings are the 4th Tuesday of every month. For information on meetings or classes please phone 519 674-5538 or 519 354-8590. Workshops are designed to offer members an opportunity to learn both new and advanced methods of needlework. Projects and Classes are ongoing throughout the year. Stitch-ins are held regularly in members homes throughout the region of Chatham-Kent. These offer an opportunity for members to share expertise and ideas. Tulip Tree Needlearts offers group and individual courses through the Embroiderersí Association of Canada. Membership is $50.00 and includes a subscription to the quarterly national magazine Embroidery Canada.

Sundays throughout the summer
For the second summer the Chatham Tennis Club is offering a series of fun tournaments for youth. All tournaments are on Sundays. The youngest division (11-17 yrs) plays at 1:00 pm while the older group (18-24 yrs) plays at 6:30 pm. A player could play in nine tournaments (three singles, three doubles and three mixed doubles). The first tournament is on Sunday May 30 and the club is offering a free 'how to play doubles' clinic on May 23. For more details call Larry Lahey (354-1833) or email him at lahlin@sympatico.ca.

Visit the Ridge House Museum's fascinating new exhibit entitled "Home on the Ridge: Ridgetown 1820-1900" to find out about the trials and tribulations of Ridgetown's earliest settlers. Students of PURE Dance Music Drama Inc. presents High school Musical 2 on stage at the Chatham Kiwanis Theatre, Chatham Cultural Centre. Tickets are $17.50 for adults and $12.50 for students and are available from www.CKTickets.com or the Chatham Cultural Centre Box Office.

August 13-15
WAMBO, Wallaceburg Antique Motor and Boat Outing, takes place along Wallaceburg's waterfront and main street. Celebrating 22 years as a free public event, WAMBO has grown to be one of the largest atique transportation shows in Canada. This year the Antique Wooden Boat show is open to Antique Fiberglass Boats as well and the South Side of the river, along Wallace and King Streets will be Kids focused with lots of entertainment for the young folks. Sunday will feature the "Jammin with the Family Jamboree" from 2-6 p.m. and a licensed refreshment tent will be open during this time, when everyone is welcome to come out to sing or play along.

Saturday, August 14, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Chatham Railroad Museum presents their annual Bill Glassco Railroad Fun Day on location at 2 McLean Street in Chatham. There will be a model railroad display, police info booth on train safety, museum tours, a raffle and kids activities.

Sunday August 15, 6:30 p.m.
The popular Two Creeks Conservation Area Summer Concert Series presents The Mountaineers, a new Celtic ensemble getting exciting reviews. Admission is free to these outdoor concerts, but the hat is passed for donations. Refreshments are available from Wheatley Scouting. Bring lawn chairs or blankets. In case of inclement weather concerts will be held under the pavillion.

Monday, August 16
The Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance hosts its 5th Annual Pro/Am Golf Tournament at Maple City Country Club. The tournament will feature 18 holes of golf, prizes, an elegant cocktail reception and a fabulous prime rib dinner and live auction. Registration starts June 10. August 16 to 20
The Thames Art Gallery presents Non-Representational Acrylic Painting with Jose Seoane (for adults). The painting workshop offers the opportunity to engage in contemporary practices and directions in painting through intensive studio experience (everyone is welcome): The class will look at strategies by which literal subject matters can be selected and composed to form expanded references and non-literal meanings. You will also:
- explore unconventional materials for painting
- examine the processes of abstraction /reduction to the essential
- explore basic direct painting techniques.
- explore abstract expressionism and action painting.

August 20 to September 21
The next exhibit at the Wallaceburg Museum will feature John McGregor Secondary School visual arts students, Jocelyn Mailloux, Sylvia Pinsonneault and Martha Simpson and is entitled Human Nature. A reception will be held on August 27th. Samples of the students work will be on display in the Museum Gallery during Wambo as a preview to this exhibition.  

Saturday, August 21, 8:00 p.m.
East Side Pride presents and Old School Battle of the DJ's. Enjoy a friendly, fun competition between two well-known DJ's, Donnie Webster and Doug Crew. Let's see just who has the best collection of 70's, 80's and 90's music! Dance to the music that takes you back in time. Round One will be at the WISH Centre, Chatham. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 and there will be a cash bar.

The Milner Heritage House, will be hosting an end of summer holidays tea party for
mothers and their daughters – but grandmothers, aunts, sisters and cousins are invited too! Guests of the Milner Heritage House will enjoy tea and refreshments, followed by traditional Victorian party games and crafts, including tea cup decorating! The Chatham-Kent Museum will be displaying some of its beautiful period clothing for this event. September 3-6
86th Annual North Buxton Labour Day Weekend Homecoming Celebration takes place in North Buxton. Inaugurated in 1924 as a one-day festival this event which draws thousands of visitors now lasts four days.

Saturday, September 11, 8:00 p.m.
Canadian singer/songwriter Amanda Martinez began 2010 performing alongside world-renowned guitarist Jesse Cook at a sold out Massey Hall concert. She then travelled to South Africa to perform at the FIFA World Cup, launching a new song Suenos Posibles (Dreams Realised) written in honour of the opening game of the World Cup (Mexico vs. South Africa) in tribute to her South African mother and Mexican father. On Saturday 11th September at 8.00 pm Martinez brings her Latin and jazz flavoured blend of flamenco, Afro-Cuban beats and Mexican folk music to Highgate’s Mary Webb Centre (former Highgate United Church). She will be accompanied by longtime collaborative musical partners, Kevin Laliberté (guitar), Drew Birston (bass), Rosendo “Chendy” Leon (percussion) and Lina Alamano (trumpet) whom she credits for her eclectic fusion of sound. The Wallaceburg & District Historical Society Annual Banquet takes place at Trinity United Church, 750 Wellington Street, Wallaceburg. The 13th Annual Community Living Chatham Kent "Walkathon" takes place starting near the Burger King/A&W area on Grand Ave.W. and the walk is around the Municipal Building path.

Blues on the Ridge presents Jaimiee Paul a young lady from Nashville, who is a jazz & blues vocalist (some of you may have heard her perform at Studio One at the Chatham Cultural Centre). Jamiee will be backed up by four extremely talented local musicians: Tom Lockwood(lead guitar), Bob Hiltz(bass guitar), Mark Wolfe(percussion), Chris Borshuk(keyboards). Concert will be held indoors at 47 Marsh St. Ridgetown. Reserve the date. More info to follow.

Saturday, September 25, 7:00 p.m.
Rant Maggie Rant will come back to the Florence House Concert nearly two years to the day since the last time they were here. Remember what a great night it was? October 5, 6, 7
The 4th Annual Chatham Kent & Lambton Children’s WaterFestival (CKCWF) is taking place at the C.M. Wilson Conservation Area, Chatham. The festival is open to all Chatham-Kent and Lambton grade 4 classes, including splits. High School classes wishing to volunteer to helpfacilitate the Activity Centres at the festival may also
register. This year's event will feature over 40 activity centres, each linked to the Ontario Curriculum in Science and Technology, Environment, Social Studies, Mathematics and Physical Education. With the involvement from industry professionals, groundwater experts and enthusiastic educators, over 1500 local grade 4 students will have the opportunity to explore the many aspects of water protection,
conservation and technology in a fun, interactive, environment. More information is available at www.ckwaterfest.com.

Saturday, October 30
The Thames Art Gallery will open its doors for the fourth biennial Eye for Art Reception, a juried exhibition and sale showcasing artwork by Chatham-Kent artists, in partnership with the Carlo Rossini Memorial Diabetes Foundation. This year we invite arts patrons to have “A Devil of a Good Time!” at our costume party.  All ghouls and goblins will enjoy themselves and support a great cause. Eye for Art has always been the premier showcase for Chatham-Kent artists. All profits from this event will remain in Chatham-Kent, the proceeds shared by the two organizing groups. The twinning of health care and preservation of cultural identity for Chatham-Kent make the Eye for Art Gala a very meaningful endeavour.  Eye for Art is an excellent opportunity to acquire work of local artists. The reception is a good place to dress up and have a great time!
