RALPH MURPHY AND FRIENDS return to Wallaceburg! The Wallaceburg & District Council for the Arts, in partnership with the Capitol Theatre, are bringing back Wallaceburg native Ralph Murphy and his two renowned Nashville songwriting pals, Pat Alger and James Dean Hicks, to the Oaks Inn in Wallaceburg. With such hits to their names as "Seeds" (Kathy Mattea), "Thunder Rolls" (Garth Brooks), and "National Working Woman's Holiday (Sammy Kershaw), the three promise an intimate evening of music and stories of living and working in America's music capital. The Kiwanis Theatre's Music Showcase presents THE WAIFS. Hailing from Western Australia, The Waifs, armed with acoustic guitars, honeyed harmonies and a blues harp, redefine the folk tradition. Wallaceburg & District Council for the Arts' Glass Onion Folk Club presents FRED EAGLESMITH AND HIS BAND, THE FLYING SQUIRRELS at the CBD Club in Wallaceburg. The HOCKEY LEGENDS will play the Wallaceburg Hornet Oldtimers at the Wallaceburg Arena. The Hockey Legends team is made up mostly of former Montreal Canadiens. A special event is planned for 2 p.m., game starts at 3 p.m. Tickets for the game are $15 regular admission, $50 VIP ticket (mingle with the players in their dressing room between periods). As well there will be a post-game reception at the K of C hall where guests will be able to meet with the players and get autographs. Tickets for the reception are also $15. The Lung Association's FESTIVAL OF TREES GALA AND AUCTION. Chatham-Kent's premier Holiday event. The Gala and Auction will be the exciting finale to the Festival of Trees. The evening will include a goumet meal catered by Casa Bellla on the Thames, enchanting music by Pat & Mario Pagano with vocalist Maria Connel, and a fabulous auction.
