Wednesday evenings, September - June
THE BALDOON SQUARES, a square dance and round Dance group, meet at Wallaceburg District Secondary School for two and a half hours to dance and share a light meal. Membership is free for the first three weeks of attendance and $8 a week per couple after that. Call George or Jane Lung at 683-2889 for information.
4th Wednesday of every month, 8:00 p.m.
The KENT COUNTY STAMP CLUB meets in the library at John McGregor Secondary School, 300 Cecile Ave., Chatham every month except July, August and December.

Victoria Playhouse Petrolia presents the 60's nostalgia musical comedy ALL GROWN UP, with three fabulous singers, twenty-one smash hits from the 60's, and one laugh after another. The BLENHEIM CHERRY FESTIVAL and Sidewalk Days. The famous Cherry Pit Spitting contest runs from 10-12 Saturday morning. Great food, great bargains, rides for the kids.

The THAMESVILLE THRESHING FESTIVAL. Parade on Friday evening. Lots of things to do over the weekend.

Chatham-Kent on the Thames Institute of the Arts is holding a benefit ART AUCTION AND DINNER. Instructors and other artists have donated water and oil paintings, prints, pottery, stained glass, sculptures, textiles and photographs. Dinner starts at 6:00 p.m. at Country View Golf Course on Hwy.40 with auction to follow. Tickets are $30 per person (charitable receipt for $10). The ROTARY CAREER EDGE PROGRAM will be held at Ridgetown College. Geared for students entering grade 11 or 12, participants will explore the varied careers in agriculture, horticulture and the environment. The Chatham Capital Theatre and the Kiwanis Theatre present a luxurious BLACK TIE GALA at the Chatham Cultural Centre.This fundraiser begins with an exquisite dinner catered by Casabella on the Thames with wine by Pelee Island Winery, followed by a performance in the Kiwanis Theater at 8 p.m. by world-renowned musical star Colm Wilkinson (Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, Jean Valjean in Les Miserables and Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar).
