Sydenham Field Naturalists meetings and Indoor Programs are held on the 2nd floor of the Wallaceburg Municipal Service Centre, Dufferin Ave., Wallaceburg. See individual dates for Program details.
Wednesday evenings, September - June, 7:45 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
THE BALDOON SQUARES, a square dance and round Dance group, meet at Wallaceburg District Secondary School cafeteria. Usually a light lunch follows the dance. Membership is free for the first three weeks of attendance. Call George Lung at 683-2889 for information.
4th Wednesday of every month, 8:00 p.m.
The KENT COUNTY STAMP CLUB meets in the library at John McGregor Secondary School, 300 Cecile Ave., Chatham every month except July, August and December.
Third Wednesday of the month, 7:00 p.m.
The CHATHAM KENT QUILTERS' GUILD meets at St. Paul's Congregational Church Hall, 450 Park Ave., W., Chatham. New members and guests welcome. Call 354-1985 for more information.
Every Thursday, Sept. 1 to June 30, 6:30 p.m.
The Kiwanis Club of Ridgetown meets weekly in the basement of the Mount Zion Presbyterian Church, 59 Main St. E., Ridgetown. Summer meetings are hosted by members at various local addresses.
Every Second and Fourth Friday of each month, 7:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
TEENS ROCK for teenagers in grades 7 - 10 meets at the Gym at Charlemont Free Methodist Church, 30127 Brigden Road, R.R.#5, Wallaceburg for basketball, volleyball, soccer, table games, outdoor games, campfires, cookouts, camping trips, community service projects and more. The 39th Annual Festival of Crafts takes place at Kinsmen Auditorium with over 80 truly unique arts and crafts vendors. The show is hosted by the Municipality in conjunction with the Kiwanis Club of Ridgetown. Sunday, November 16, 2008: The Tilbury Knights of Columbus are sponsoring The Tilbury Autumn Doll and Farm Toy Show, ěLand of Lincoln,î celebrating the Lincoln Toy factory products of the ë50ís and í60ís, which were produced on Young Street in Tilbury. The show lasts from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M. Admission is $2.50 per person; children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult. Early bird admission at 8:00 A.M. is $10. The location is the Knights of Columbus Hall at the end of Bond Street, which is off Queen St. in Tilbury. Proceeds will be donated to community projects. Child Development Clinic – If you do not have a Family Doctor or Nurse Practitioner for your toddler, you can attend a free 18 month clinic on November 17, 2008 to get your toddler immunized and receive an 18 month development package. Deadline for registration for the 64th Annul Chatham Kiwanis Music Festival, March 30 to April 9, 2009. The grand Concert is scheduled for Monday, April 20. Free copies of the Festival syllabus are available at Tony's One Stop Music Shoppe, Frank's Music Centre, Strings N' Things and Gospel Text Book Store, all in Chatham. The Chatham Cultural Centre presents PHAT LOVE & the thin girl, a collaborative effort by writer/performer Tara Duffy and director Cynthia Rose. This play captures the hilarious love and life stories of a woman falling heart first into self-acceptance. Her struggles mirror many of our own insecurities about self, body and finding true love. Benefit Laser Light & Variety Extravaganza Show on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2009 at Ursuline College, Chatham In Support of the Chatham-Kent Professional Fire Fighters Associationís community charity fund. Proceeds will assist local worthy causes. The Firefighters have assisted many local community projects
including Camp Trillium, Y.M.C.A., Prism Center, Chatham Goodfellows, Children's Safety Village, and Chatham Youth Soccer.
