Legion Musing

Trying again for youth darts

Tuesday, December 1, 2009

Ok we are trying again. You can't say that the sports officer and myself are not persistent. Mom or dad, please call the Legion to sign up your 8 to 15 year old boy or girl for youth darts. We will be running it on Saturday mornings. A parent or guardian must accompany the child to this. You know the parents have just as much fun as the kids. Come in or call the Legion at 519-627-6663 and leave your name, phone number and how many children you are signing up. The sports Officer will call you before New Years with the start date and time. We do have some darts at the Legion if you do not have your own darts.

As we move into Dec and the end of 2009, I have to say what an exciting year we have had here at Branch 18. An elevator installed to provide much needed access to the Legion for all people. All new washrooms, including a new up to code handicap washroom upstairs. All new double pane energy efficient windows and of course we painted the upstairs hall, lobby and the downstairs hallway to the bathrooms. We at Branch 18 invite everyone to drop in to check us out on any day of the week. For everyone's information our hours are: Monday to Thursday 3:00pm until closing and Friday and Saturday 1:00pm until closing. Come check us out you will be glad you did. Br.18 is the friendliest Legion in town.
