Taking an incredible journey

What an incredible journey this was, it is hard to put into words all that we experienced and all that we have seen.
First of all let me make one thing very clear, Israel is completely safe, at no time did we feel even the slightest bit of concern for our safety. We found that walking the streets of Jerusalem at night to be safer than at home, With virtually no exceptions, visitors to Israel are amazed by the normalcy of everyday life in a country that seems so often to be in the headlines.
Upon our arrival in Tel Aviv we were met by our Israeli Tour guide, this man was a wealth of information and truly gave us an education of where we were and of the history of this country over the ten days we spent traveling around Israel. In size Israel is comparable to Victoria on the West coast of Canada. It is not a large country and so traveling by our luxury Motor coach we covered a large part of the country. Israel is situated at the Eastern end of the Mediterranean Sea and its topography is a microcosm of the world’s topographies, including mountain ranges, plains and deserts. The notable points are the Jordan River, the Sea of Galilee, the Dead Sea and the Red Sea are part of the Afro Syrian Rift Valley and includes the lowest point on earth at the Dead Sea.
Christians of all ages and denominations have testified that an Israel experience is life altering. While an Israel experience can never replace serious Christian education in our communities, the inclusion of such an experience can make all the difference in strengthening and deepening the connection to your faith. Walking in the footsteps of Biblical Kings, prophets and Biblical stories brings them to life and gives you a perspective of color in reading these stories again at home.
