Chatham-Kent Safety Village Chatter
Emergency First-Aid/CPR & WHMIS Training
Tuesday, July 21, 2009
The Chatham-Kent Children's Safety Village will be holding a 2-day Youth Workplace Safety Seminar for teens 14- 19 years old. This unique workshop will feature Emergency First-Aid/CPR training and generic WHMIS training. This is an excellent opportunity for youth to upgrade their resumes which will allow them to stand out above numerous other candidates applying for work in tough economic times.Upon completion of the workshop, youth will receive completion certificates and take home resources. Several local employers have confirmed that they would interview applicants with this course over those with no safety training. The workplace can be a very dangerous environment for young workers with no prior safety training. This program will give teens the knowledge needed to help prepare them for these dangers.
