March 11, 2010 at 7 pm the party begins! Nibbles will be provided by William Street Café. In the Ground Floor Gallery will be Sequential Desire work from various artists based on comic strips. Classic animation by Norman McLaren and stop motion animations created by Chatham-Kent students will be shown in the Mezzanine Gallery.
In Studio One live music will come from Sarah Hiltz and Friends. Drawing comparisons to both Billie Holiday and Feist, Sarah Hiltz is a paradoxical blend of old world and modernity. She’s been praised for her ability to tell as story through song, but isn’t afraid to take risks when she performs.
Windsor based artist gustave morin will perform. morin is the polarizing catalyst behind a growing number of unclassifiable volumes of literature which curiously collage esoteric strains of concrete poetry and incendiary graphisme with feral kitsch & zen cartoon. His various written works, graphic constructions and reluctant performances have been appearing on the page, on the stage and in white cubes above ground and below for nearly 20 years.
What could make it better? Well bringing your friends and family, that would do it! What’s the cost? It’s completely free, except for the cash bar.
