The following municipal facilities will be CLOSED on the Labour Day Holiday Monday Sept. 6, 2010:
· All Community Municipal Centres, Information Desks and Libraries (Blenheim, Chatham, Dresden, Ridgetown, Tilbury, Wallaceburg, Bothwell, Merlin, Highgate, Thamesville and Wheatley)
· Chatham-Kent Centre for Community Services - offices of Ontario Works/Social Services; Social Housing, Children’s Services and Public Health (Essential after-hours Public Health services are available by calling 1-866-446-8207)
· Public Health Clinic Services
· Chatham-Kent Civic Centre and Service Ontario
· Chatham-Kent Energy, Hydro & Utility Services
· Economic Development Services and Chatham-Kent Small Business Centre
· Harwich Transfer Station, Wallaceburg Transfer Station and Chatham Leaf & Yard Depot
· May Court and Wallaceburg Childcare Learning Centres
· Park Avenue Business Centre - offices of Recreation Programs; Municipal Properties; Parks, Cemeteries and Horticulture; Fleet administration and Public Works administration
· Gable Rees Rotary Pool and Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool
· Chatham-Kent Arenas
· Chatham Cultural Centre Box Office and Administrative Offices
· All Public Works garages
· Provincial Offences Court
· Public Utilities Commission office
OPERATIONAL SERVICES ON THE CIVIC HOLIDAY
· Emergency Services – Police, Fire and Ambulance are operational 24 hours a day every day and are accessible by dialling “911” for emergency calls only
· Chatham-Kent Summer Playgrounds and Day Camps will be operating normal business hours
· Riverview Gardens Long Term Care Home - visiting hours will continue as normal but administrative offices will be closed
· Cemetery staff will be on call to handle cemetery business for funeral home operations
· Thames Art Gallery, Chatham-Kent Museum, Milner Heritage House, and Ridge House Museum will open 1 – 5 p.m.
· Garbage and recycling collection services will be delayed by one day for the entire week for all areas receiving curbside collection
