Well the days are getting longer and the snow's finally starting to melt. So you may be wondering what's happening at Branch 18 in Wallaceburg this spring. Well, nominations will be in April for the entire Executive from President on down on April 12th at 7:30 pm. Be sure to be at that meeting. One important thing to understand is that if you are planning on running for the Executive please be ready to make the commitment of time to the position and the various events we do during the year. Also there will be Legion schools and training courses during the year which you should be going to as well as conventions you might wish to attend. So please understand it is a commitment of your time. I know that there are many gifted and talented people at Branch 18 in Wallaceburg and I want to see you out there and helping to make a difference. Members, you are just as important for helping out with events and most importantly coming to the meetings to give the Executive your input. We need to know what you are thinking and where you would like to see this Legion going. Folks please circle May 15th 2010 that is Branch 18's annual Golf Tournament. It is an important fund raiser and we need teams and hole sponsors. We are fund raising for Youth-Ed and Seniors programs. One of these program's is our annual Seniors luncheon on June 1st this year at 12:00 noon. Also July 1st is our annual Children's Fishing derby. Without the funds raised by this tournament we cannot hold these events. There are forms at the Legion for sponsors and teams. Events: March holds a good number of events. March 13th is Corned Beef or Irish Stew with Allen James playing, Let's get out to support this event folks. March 20th is an Art Council Fundraiser this is the second of a series of concerts and is a night of great music. Every Saturday is our meat draws. The music starts at 4:00pm and the draws at 5:00pm. Good times, good music, dancing with friends and you might win Sunday's dinner. Come join us anytime at Branch 18, we welcome everyone to our friendly Legion. LEST WE FORGET
