Daddy Long Legs to make Wallaceburg appearance

Kitchener's Daddy Long Legs set to appear in Wallaceburg. Blues harp magician Darren Wrightman and True Blue Hoodoo are the opening act....

The band that earned Best New Artist honours at the Maple Blues Awards last year is coming to Wallaceburg for a highly anticipated show on Saturday, March 20. The Glass Onion Folk Club will present Daddy Long Legs in concert at Branch 18 Royal Canadian Legion with opening act Darren Wrightman and True Blue Hoodoo. Showtime is 8:00 p.m.

Daddy Longs have spent much of the last decade as one of the hottest blues bands in the Kitchener-Guelph-Cambridge triangle, as well as appearing at Festivals and other events as a popular favourite. Their upbeat style of jump blues has been recognized as one of the best in Canada. Last year, they were officially recognized as one of the country’s premier blues acts with the Maple Blues Award.

Opening act, Darren Wrightman and True Blue Hoodoo have been blazing a trail of traditional and crossover blues across Chatham-Kent for the last three years. The band features the incomparable Darren Wrightman on vocals and blues harp, lead guitarist Bill Morrow, drummer Jerry Gregson and John Gardiner on the Fender bass.

Only a limited number of tickets will be available for the show, which will feature a special guest vocalist with Port Lambton connections.
