<title>Notes from a Garage with John Gardiner: Thinking about Tony……</title>
					    <link>http://www.cktimes.ca/notesfromagarage.html</link>
<description>There’s always a special bond between bass players and drummers….there just is. After all, the bass player and the drummer form the rhythm section of the band and work closely together to make sure the band stays together and heading in the right direction. If you want to see a band crumble really fast, mess with the bass player or the drummer. I lost my drummer last week. </description>

<title>At Issue with Philip Shaw: Stock Market Up 60% From Last Year: Who Predicted It?</title>
					    <link>http://www.cktimes.ca/atissue.html</link>
<description>One of the great fallacies economists sometimes have is that they can predict the future. I fall into that trap too. As a scholar of the dismal science we are taught the machinations of the economy and at the end of the day many of us think we can put two and two together. So how many economists predicted there would be a 60% rise in the TSX and the S&amp;P 500 since last year? Nobody.

<title>A Life Worth Living with Jack Gleason: How We Approach It Matters:</title>
					    <link>http://www.cktimes.ca/alifeworthliving.html</link>
<description>For many of us, we now find ourselves in the first week of our Lenten season. This has been a traditional part of most of our respective cultures regardless of our individual beliefs and followings for some time. It is interesting to note that the theme of the this years ecumenical Lenten Noon Hour Services at Christ Church in Chatham is ‘Singing Our Way Through Lent - A Celebration Of Fifty Years’. Congratulations.

<title>The Pastoral Lens with Pastor Brian Horrobin of First Baptist Church, Wallaceburg: Sociology Class at the Arena</title>
					    <link>http://www.cktimes.ca/thepastorallens.html</link>
<description>I have spent a fair bit of time this winter at various hockey arenas. For one reason or another, I have had the opportunity to attend a number of games at either the Junior A, Junior B, or Junior C level. For those not acquainted with Canada's Game, these are the feeder levels for the National Hockey League (NHL), North America's professional men's hockey league.

<title>East-West with Philip Shaw, MSc and Dr. A.K. Enamul Haque Ph.D: China, Asia, The Olympics and Our Changing World Economy</title>
					    <link>http://www.cktimes.ca/east-west.html</link>
<description>In Canada last month we were all focused on the Vancouver Olympics. It's natural for Canadians to be watching winter sports at this time of year. However one of my favorite pastimes every two years is watching the opening ceremonies of the winter and Summer Olympics. I like to watch because I enjoy seeing the people of the world getting together in one place all at the same time. For whatever reason, I've always felt that was a very good thing.

<title> Gardening with Terri with Terri Dent: Best gardening year ever!!!!!</title>
					    <link>http://www.cktimes.ca/gardeningwithterri.html</link>
<description>What a gorgeous weekend! No matter how old I become, its weekends like this that regenerate me and my spirits from the doldrums of winter. You can feel the rite of spring in the soft breeze and smell the soil warming up from the heat of the sun. I love spring! I know it’s not official yet, and we may see a few more chilly days, but these last few days will tie me over until that special day arrives.

<title>Classic Vinyl with Allan Day: MY ROLLING STONES BOOK COLLECTION</title>
					    <link>http://www.cktimes.ca/classicvinyl.html</link>
<description>Well it has been awhile since I did a book report and The Rolling Stones books keep coming out at a rapid pace. Some of them good and most of them crap, repeats of the same old stuff. Here are a few books from my collection that fall into the better Stones books out there to read.

<title>Cultural Musings on Chatham-Kent with Jim and Lisa Gilbert: CRIME STATS FOR 1879 TELL US A GREAT DEAL</title>
					    <link>http://www.cktimes.ca/culturalmusingsonchatham-kent.html</link>
<description>In December of 1879 the Chatham Daily Planet printed the record of arrests for the year and they did a painstaking job of analyzing the data available to them and came up with some fascinating conclusions that would appear in very few, if any, publications in 2010!

<title>In the Spotlight with Mary Ellen Herder and Cherie McGuire: Calling All High School Musicians</title>
					    <link>http://www.cktimes.ca/inthespotlight.html</link>
<description>In an attempt to help foster high school artists and musicians, the Thames Art Gallery would like to offer a performing opportunity for Secondary School Music bands/ensemble/solo artists. This opportunity is open to those musical performers who are currently attending a Chatham-Kent secondary school. Not all students need attend the same school nor does a band/ensemble/solo artist need to be supported by the school.

<title>Ecowrappin' with David West, Conservation Programs Leader - South Western Ontario (retired): PUBLIC SERVICE (?)</title>
					    <link>http://www.cktimes.ca/ecowrappin.html</link>
<description>Public service as I favourably remember it, vaguely, it was some time ago; used to be something of a complimentary service, something that was paid for indirectly through your income and property taxes. The public servant was low on salary and benefits but high on job security. By all appearances he/she worked for you for nothing. Not really---by paying his/her salary and, at that time limited benefits and pension, plus providing a work place and, sometimes, a mode of transportation---you were actually paying the person quite well for the services and products that were provided to you. He/she was tantamount to being your employee!

						  <title>Nature Link with Blake Mann: SPRING……NOT YET!</title>
					    <link>http://www.cktimes.ca/naturelink.html</link>
<description>Winter took a long time to arrive this year, but it refuses to leave. It is milder this week, but this past weekend was just too wintry. We cannot complain though, as it has not been harsh like last year. I thought for sure some Red-winged Blackbirds would be claiming territory, or a Killdeer or two would be calling on the weekend.

<title>Stratford Festival: Phedre failed to lift me up and take me away......</title>
					    <link>http://www.cktimes.ca/stratfordfestival.html</link>
<description>I am, by nature, the type of guy who really enjoys a piece of serious theatre......I will travel a long way to see something that is desparately bleak and grim, if only it offers up great emotion and makes me feel something wonderful. I have said before in my reviews that I expect a great piece of theatre to lift me up and take me away......away from the mundane and dreary everyday of life.
