					    <description>An umbrella organization has been established for the six Meals on Wheels programs in Chatham-Kent and the official launch of the new organization was held at St. Andrew's Residence last Wednesday, as part of a Meals on Wheels volunteer appreciation event. Meals on Wheels currently operate in Wallaceburg, Chatham, Ridgetown and several other local communities. The new organization will help out in a number of ways, including providing logistical support and other valuable services. cktimes' photographer John Gardiner attended the launch and snapped this photo of some of the volunteers......</description>

					    <description>May is Community Living Month throughout Ontario; a month to celebrate the accomplishments of people who have an intellectual disability while also promoting inclusion and awareness. Community Living Chatham-Kent (CLC-K) plans to celebrate throughout the month starting with the Flag Raising and Charity BBQ on May 1 at the Civic Centre from 11AM – 1PM. The Community Colours Art Show is being held at Chatham branch of the Chatham-Kent Public Library from May 8-12 and will feature a variety of art pieces from over 60 local artists who have an intellectual disability. The Parkfield restaurant, located at 1099 Park Ave West in Chatham will also celebrate by offering free select desserts the week of May 14-18!
