It's an old wives tale that all daughters grow up to be just like their mothers. Why women resist this time-tested piece of wisdom is a mystery, but it definitely makes for great comedy. In the play Old Wive's Tales, you can follow the story of how a mother guides her daughter through all the critical moments in any wife's life. Whether it's getting married or staying married, these two depend upon the wit and wisdom of generations of women that's passed down through the ages in the form of superstitious stories. Stories and sayings we all know to be absolutely true. So true that science has yet to find a way to prove them all right...until now!  For more information call the Chatham Cultural Centre AT 519-354-8338.
